ENROLLED NURSE ASSISTANT

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: To render and promote quality patient care in accordance with best practice standards and hospital policies. Assists Registered and or Enrolled Nurse. The main task of the auxiliary nurse is to help maintain the hygiene and comfort of the patient, providing basic nursing care to patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse/ Enrolled Nurse within her scope of practice.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Registration with SANC
  • At least 1 year’s practical experience as applicable to the nursing discipline in a private healthcare environment.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and show initiative
  • Able to work alone or as part of the team
  • Knowledge of medical terminology necessary to perform duties effectively
  • Adherence to infection control policy and control and comply with standard precautions
  • Clear and effective communication both verbally and in writing.
  • Good verbal communication skills with patients, relatives and understand instructions
  • Must display a neat, clean, professional appearance.
  • Maintain professional confidentiality
