SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Minimize financial risk to the hospital by fulfilling the contractual obligation to the funder and deliver efficient and quality care to patients being admitted to our hospital by ensuring that relevant and complete communication regarding the treatment of the patient is timeously communicated both to the funder and the patient.

Perform assessments, plan and manage patient services and care in liaison with Nursing Management, conduct research, and analyze data utilizing the methodologies of the case management process.

Incorporate case management standards of practice and utilize case management and quality measurement tools in a multidisciplinary approach that incorporates all members of the health care team in the promotion of quality, cost-

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Health related qualification and registration with the HPCSA or respective council body OR qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a ( eg. Professional Nurse, Enrolled Nurse)
  • SANC/HPCSA receipt and ICD/CPT Coding is a pre-requisite (Advanced clinical coder preferred)
