Requirements :
- Matric/ Senior certificate. Basic R425 qualification i.e. diploma / degree in nursing or equivalent qualification and currently registered with SANC as a professional nurse. Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse. A NIMART/ NIMDR Certificate will be added advantage.
Duties :
- Demonstrate effective communication with patient, supervisors, and other clinicians. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care is offered to HIV and TB infected patients. Implement HIV/AIDS/STI/TB (HAST) comprehensive care programme at a facility level. Manage patients diagnosed with HIV/STI/TB/ according to the provincial and national guidelines. Increase TB treatment success rate for drug susceptible and drug resistant TB. Improve TB data flow and by and their quality thereof. Willingness to rotate departmentally. Work as a team player. Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of the nursing care plan (clinical practice/quality patient care). Implement standards, practices, criteria and indicators for quality nursing. Practice nursing and health care in accordance with the laws and regulations relevant to nursing and health care. Maintain a constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders. Utilize human material and physical resources efficiently and effectively. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and development of self and subordinates. Implement Infection Control and proper waste management. Good communication and report writing skills. Problem solving skills. Evaluation skills. Ability to engage appropriate stakeholder on quality patient care. Sound leadership skills.
