Requirements :
- Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Enrolled Nurse and proof of current registration. A minimum of 1 year of appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as Enrolled Nurse. 1 year experience will be an added advantage in the Adult Intensive Care Unit.
Duties :
- To ensure safe and effective clinical nursing practice. Ensure effective management of quality nursing service. Mentoring of Enrolled Nursing Assistants. Ensure that the nursing standards are upheld and maintained. Ensure effective communication within the health setting. Ensure optimal utilization of human and material resources. Demonstrate basic understanding of nursing procedures. Demonstrate basic understanding of the legislative framework protocols, policies governing the public service. Ensure that the Ideal Hospital Realization and Maintenance Framework are maintained and upheld. Maintain ethical standards. Assist Professional Nurse with clinical procedures. Compulsory shift work and flexibility. Implement Infection Control and Waste Management Practices. Operate all relevant apparatus and equipment. Preparation of patients of diagnostic and surgical procedures. Compliance with Ideal Hospital Realisation and Maintenance Framework.
