Introduction

A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse in the Oncology Ward, based at Life The Glynnwood Hospital, reporting to the Unit Manager, Zandile Wetbooi. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of quality patient care.

Critical Outputs
  • Conduct duties to meet the requirements of quality patient care, ensuring that all nursing activities carried out comply with SANC regulations, relevant legislations and Life Healthcare policies and procedures
  • Maintain all health, safety and infection control standards to ensure a safe patient environment
  • Effective utilization of resources
  • Effective maintenance of equipment
  • Accurate record keeping
  • The continued education of patients
  • Build effective relationships with patients, doctors and other medical personnel to ensure quality patient care
Requirements
  • Must be an Enrolled Nurse registered with SANC.
  • Experience in Oncology ward
  • Competencies required team player, very energetic, well organized and punctual.
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
  • Good inter-personal skills required. Respect patient and staff confidentiality.
  • Candidate must be vaccinated for COVID-19
  • Driver’s license
  • Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
